Former Montana All-American cornerback Trumaine Johnson is scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs among other teams in preparation for the upcoming draft. Johnson is a two time All-American and three time All-Big Sky selection.
In 2011, Johnson recorded 54 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions. He also had 12 pass deflections while forcing one fumble. Johnson is a 6-foot-1 corner who was timed at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He is projected as a second-round pick in many mock drafts.
His size and skill make him an attractive option because he could potentially line up all over the field whether on the outside or in the slot. He perhaps could even play a little safety if the opportunity presented itself.
Johnson has already visited the Carolina Panthers and plans to work out privately for the Bears, Falcons and Bengals.
