2012 NFL Draft: Kansas City Chiefs Scheduled Private Workout With Ryan Tannehill

According to NFLDraftScout.com's Dane Brugler, former Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill has scheduled a private workout with the Kansas City Chiefs along with two other teams.

Tannehill is an interesting prospect. While Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III dominate the quarterback position in this year's draft class, there are some analysts that believe Tannehill is a top-10 pick. The Chiefs' interest in Tannehill isn't all that surprising either. The Chiefs attempted to make a case to Peyton Manning, which proved they weren't necessarily sold on Matt Cassel. Since that's the case, it only makes sense that the Chiefs would try to grab a new quarterback to take the helm for the Chiefs moving forward, even if it's not right away.

Tannehill threw for 3,744 yards for 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2011 for a quarterback rating of 133.2. The Chiefs go on the clock at No. 11 in the first round and if they want Tannehill, if he's still available, they'll have to use that pick on him because he definitely won't be around when they go on the clock in the second round.
