XFinity Sports, by Comcast, has released their top-10 free agency signings for the 2012 offseason. While Mario Williams' name obviously appears, as does Carl Nicks' and Matt Flynn's, so does Peyton Hillis'. The Chiefs made what XFinity believes is the eighth best free agency move by signing the former Cleveland Browns running back heading into the 2012 season.
Hillis comes with a lot of baggage. But he'll be motivated playing on a one-year deal and is the perfect compliment to recovering jitterbug Jamaal Charles. Hillis can be Thomas Jones circa 2010 — maybe more.
Hillis, a powerful and big running back, will be a perfect compliment to the much smaller and quicker Jamaal Charles and gives the Chiefs a reliable short-yardage and goal line back. He's only signed for a one-year contract and the running back, who ran for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2010, earning the cover of Madden '12, should be plenty motivated to get back to his old ways in Kansas City.
