The Kansas City Chiefs signed a familiar face to to a contract earlier this week when they inked wide receiver Zeke Markshausen to a contract. Markshausen entered training camp with the Chiefs in 2011 and spent time on the practice squad during the season.
As a senior at Northwestern, the 5-foot-11 Markshausen hauled in 91 catches for 858 yards and three touchdowns. Those 91 catches were the second highest total in school history.
During his time around the organization in 2011, Marshausen must have left the right impression as it appears he will get another shot during training camp to make the roster. The Chiefs must make a decision before March 5 on whether or not to apply the franchise tag to leading 2011 receiver Dwayne Bowe.
