The most recent SB Nation NFL Mock Draft has the Kansas City Chiefs selecting Memphis Tigers defensive lineman Dontari Poe with the 11th pick.
With Poe's impressive workouts, the 6-4, 346-pound athletic freak has jumped high on the draft boards, despite having a few lackluster performances in the 2011 season, most notably his one sack against Austin Peay.
Nevertheless, Poe is ranked by NFLDraftScout.com as the second best prospect in the draft. Here is what Ryan Van Bibber had to say about the Poe selection:
"This would be the ideal pick for the Chiefs, whose defense lacks a solid anchor in the middle of the interior line. Poe should have an impact right away as an immovable object. Over time, Kansas City can develop his athletic ability that could make him a dual threat."
Poe had 44 reps with 225 pounds and ran 40 yards in an unofficial time of 4.98 seconds at the NFL Combine, indicating he definitely has the physical tools to do some damage in the league.
