NFL Draft 2012: Amini Silatolu Has Scheduled Private Workouts With Chiefs And 8 Other Teams

One of the more intriguing prospects in the 2012 NFL Draft is Amini Silatolu out of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Silatolu, a 6-foot-4, 311-pound consensus All-American left tackle at the Division II level, projects as a left guard at the NFL level.

Silatolu was invited to workout at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and graded out well. In particular were his measurements and workout times. Silatolu bench pressed 225 pounds 28 times, had a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap, an 8-11 broad jump, a 4.87 20-yard shuttle and a 7.95 three-cone drill. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.43 seconds.

The Chiefs have scheduled a private workout with Silatolu, but the offensive lineman has other suitors. Other teams scheduled to work out Silatolu are: Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and the Carolina Panthers.

The first round of the NFL Draft will take place on Thursday night in New York City. The Chiefs pick at No. 11.
