The Kansas City Chiefs could be interested in former Arizona Wildcats linebacker Paul Vassallo in either one of their late rounds in the NFL Draft this weekend, or possibly an undrafted free agent over the summer.
Vassallo said he hasn't worked out for any teams, but listed the Chiefs among a list squads that have shown interest in him. Other teams on that list were the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals.
The 6-foot-3, 247-pound linebacker of course would like to play for his hometown San Francisco 49ers. Vassallo said he's heard positive things from the teams that have been in contact with him and has a lot of confidence going into the weekend.
"I'm an instinctive, intelligent player that's willing to embrace his role," Vassallo said. "I'm going to bring a lot to the table and try to make any team more successful than they already are."
