After everything has been said and done, it seems that Luke Kuechly could be the Kansas City Chiefs pick when everything is said and done in the 2012 NFL Draft. While it's possible to find a mock draft here or there that says otherwise, most of them at the wire are predicting that Kuechly will be the Chiefs new inside linebacker by the end of tonight's opening round action.

Check out the list of mocks that project the Boston College linebacker to the Chifes. Mike Lombardi is predicting as such. As is Charley Casserly. So is Charles Davis, Bucky Brooks, Albert Breer, Chad Reuter, Greg Cosell and Steve Wyche. No matter how other players fall in the draft, nearly everyone believes that Kuechly will far as No. 11 but that Scott Pioli will be too smitten to choose anyone else.

If the Chiefs are able to add Kuechly, they would have a tremendous all-around linebacker in the middle for years to come and would bolster the line immediately alongside Derrick Johnson in the middle for two all-way linebackers. Since Johnson was the MVP last season and the team saw just what a player of that skill set can do one side, it's tremendous to think about the possibilities if Kuechly joined him.
