Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Johnnie Morton has joined the growing list of former NFL players suing the league over concussions.
Paul D. Anderson has been tracking concussion lawsuits against the NFL and adds another one to the growing list:
Yet another lawsuit was filed on Monday in the Superior Court of California - Los Angeles: Johnnie Morton et al v. NFL. It names 13 former players as plaintiffs. The most notable player is 12-season veteran Johnnie Morton, who played primarily for the Detroit Lions and then played three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
One thing that the NFL will definitely bring up against Morton is that he suffered a vicious knockout in his first MMA fight attempt back in 2007 when he took on Bernard Ackah at the K-1 Dynamite event. Morton was knocked out at the 38 second mark and had to be taken out of the ring on a stretcher.
