Kansas City Chiefs Come In No. 17 In Overall NFL Popularity

It's definitely not an exact science, but after thousands of interviews and years of polling, the Kansas City Chiefs come out at right about the middle of the pack in the NFL in terms of overall popularity. A new study posted at ESPN holds a list of favorite teams as identified by surveys, and the Dallas Cowboys are the first overall team listed at 8.8 percent of all polled as their "fan favorite." The Chiefs come in No. 17.

According to the article, "Pollsters conduct 1,500 monthly telephone interviews with a nationally representative sample of Americans age 12 and older. They have reached 390,000 Americans since 1994 via land lines and cell phones, in English and Spanish."

The Chiefs were tied with the Seattle Seahawks and were surprisingly listed above the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens. The least favorite teams in the NFL were the Jacksonville Jaguars and St. Louis Rams.
