LaDainian Tomlinson Set To Retire Monday From NFL With San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers might have moved on from LaDainian Tomlinson on the field a few years ago, but the organization will always proudly call itself the franchise home for one of the greatest running backs of all-time in the NFL. That relationship will be set in stone for good with the word that Tomlinson will retire on Monday. He's the fifth all-time leading rusher in NFL history with 13,648 rushing yards.

At 32, it's possible that Tomlinson could still provide a team with some value in the backfield, but the star is ready to move on to other things. He retires as a certain Hall of Fame entrant, and he should be a first-ballot vote as well. Tomlinson is a five-time Pro Bowler who is seventh on the all-time NFL list for all-purpose yards and third all-time with 162 career touchdowns.

To provide some perspective on just how great Tomlinson was, the Charger great rushed for 1,504 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs alone in his career.
