Former Chiefs Running Back Javarris Williams Cut By Houston Texans

Javarris Williams was hoping that playing closer to home might yield better results than his first two times around with an NFL team. Alas, it was not to be. The former Kansas City Chiefs running back was recently released from the Houston Texans as he announced on his Twitter feed:

Williams was the Chiefs seventh round selection in Scott Pioli's first draft with the Chiefs front office in 2009. The former Tennessee State back didn't stick with the team past that year, and he tried again with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. However, Williams played his high school ball in Richmond, Texas and the Texans signed him during the preseason in 2011.
