If you've ever wanted to get into the business of being a sports announcer, the Kansas City Chiefs have an incredible opportunity for one lucky fan to make a major career move. The Chiefs announced the "Rock The Mic" competition today which will give one lucky participant the chance to join the Chiefs as a sideline reporter for the fourth and final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. From the press release:
You'll join us on the sidelines as our second half reporter during the Chiefs fourth and final preseason game as an integral part of the team that provides the Chiefs Kingdom with inside information on game day. Starting July 16th, contestants 18 and older can register by filling out an official entry form at www.kcchiefs50.com.
Of course, this competition is all about adding to the Chiefs Broadcast team. So, we're going to need to see your on-camera presence. Contestants should submit a one minute "demo reel" displaying their best sideline reporting as part of the entry form. Our judging panel will select three finalists based on their on-air presence, knowledge, and watchability, but after that, it's up to the Kingdom to decide their favorite.
Fan voting begins on August 17 and ends on Aug. 23, and one lucky fan's sports broadcasting career begins the very next day. Visit www.kcchiefs50.com for more information!
