The beauty of Twitter is that it allows unprecedented access to public figures than ever before. Many times, those can lead to inspiring moments between a fan and athlete. Other times, it can lead to embarrassing exchanges. However in the case of former Kansas State head basketball coach Frank Martin and Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, the public exchange of pleasantries between the two today was rather odd.
@DwayneBowe82 sorry we never connected in my time in kansas— Frank Martin (@FrankMartin_SC) July 2, 2012
Thanks a lot frankfollow @FrankMartin_SC— Dwayne Bowe (@DwayneBowe82) July 2, 2012
Nothing like a college basketball coach and pro football player wishing they would have connected during their time together in the area. Now that Martin is in South Carolina, perhaps this is his subversive way of trying to get Bowe to play with the Carolina Panthers after playing out this season for the Chiefs under his franchise deal. Or maybe they're just truly being cordial. Either way, this isn't news. Good thing we're talking about it.
