Preseason NFL Power Rankings: Chiefs Picked As 3rd Worst Team In AFC

Expectations are high for most fans of the Kansas City Chiefs as the 2010 AFC West champions only finished one game off of the division lead last season and now return several impact players from injury in 2012. Key additions have been made along both lines and at several skill positions and the roster has arguably never been deeper in Scott Pioli's tenure. However not every NFL Power Rankings list coming out this preseason verifies this same worldview.

Instead, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has the Chiefs as the third worst team in the entire AFC and predicts they will finish at 6-10 at the bottom of their division. Only the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts are predicted to finish the season worse than the Chiefs.

Meanwhile the Denver Broncos are expected to win the division behind Peyton Manning at 11-5 and the Chargers are listed at 10-6. Other predictions include the Texans winning the AFC South at 9-7 and for the Patriots to go undefeated at 16-0.
