Chiefs Training Camp: Kyle McCarthy Placed On Injured Reserve

It didn't take long for the Kansas City Chiefs to have their first camp casualty. Kyle McCarthy, who was trying to make the rosters as a special teams player, is out for the season after injuring his knee on Saturday.

McCarthy also suffered a knee injury while with the Broncos in 2010 that ended his season.

A defensive back from Notre Dame that entered the league as an undrafted free agent, McCarthy has played sparingly during his NFL career. If he is fully recovered, he will hope to get back on the field for the 2013 season.
