The 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft is next week, and that means that even for an event with only 8 players eligible, a mock draft is coming. In fact, Dave Dameshek's is the first mock draft that we can find, and the NFL.com writer believes that a whopping three players will be taken in the draft. Considering that only 41 players have been taken in the draft's 35 year history, three is a major number.
Baylor's Josh Gordon is the player going first in the fifth round to the Washington Redskins according to Dameshek. He also has Ed Wesley of TCU going in the sixth round to the Cincinnati Bengals and Carson-Newman linebacker Larry Lumpkin heading to the Miami Dolphins in the seventh and final round. That's a new word out on Lumpkin since most NFL analysts are focusing only on Gordon and perhaps Wesley as the top talents available.
