Ohio Wesleyan's football team added a strong asset with the recent announcement that former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Keith Rucker was joining the staff to coach the defensive line. Getting a seven-year NFL veteran on any team is a solid addition, but head coach Tom Watts was excited as the team announced the move.
"I think Keith is a great asset to the football program and the university," Watts said. "He's one of the best student-athletes ever to come out of Ohio Wesleyan. As an NFL veteran, he's someone that all of our student-athletes can look up to, and he'll be a great recruiter as well."
Rucker played for the Cardinals, Bengals, Eagles and Redskins along with the Chiefs in a journeyman career in the NFL from 1992 to '97.
