Kansas City Chiefs News: Dwyane Bowe Plans To Report By Week 1

Though he's been a no-show so far at Kansas City Chiefs training camp, the Chiefs and Chiefs fans can expect wide receiver Dwayne Bowe to report to camp prior to Week 1.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Bowe is planning to show up at some point before the regular season.

Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe is the last unsigned franchise player. In theory, he can stay away until the Tuesday after Week 10.

But he most likely won't.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Bowe plans to show before the regular season begins.

There is nothing for Bowe to gain by staying home while the Chiefs practice. The deadline for franchise tagged players to sign a long-term extension has already passed, so Bowe cannot receive a new contract prior to the season.

As Florio notes, Bowe will earn $558,000 per game check -- so it's unlikely that his holdout will last into the regular season, when he'd cost himself money.

For the latest on the Chiefs, head over to Arrowhead Pride.
