Kansas City Chiefs Cut Junior Hemingway

The Kansas City Chiefs parted ways with rookie wide receiver Junior Hemingway Tuesday, according to Arrowhead Pride's Joel Thorman.

Hemingway, the team's seventh-round draft choice out of Michigan in the most recent NFL Draft, was cut from the team's practice squad just three days after he was reacquired.

Hemingway could eventually make his way back to the team's practice squad, but it's clear that wide receiver apparently isn't that pressing of a need at this time.

Hemingway had one catch for 14 yards during his first NFL preseason, after injuries held him out of two contests. The former Wolverine was also plagued by injuries throughout his collegiate career, but did catch 34 balls for 699 yards and four touchdowns during his senior year.

It's unclear at this time who will take his place on the practice squad.
