Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers practiced Thursday afternoon for the first time in well over a month. The Kansas City Star's Randy Covitz had the scoop on Twitter:
#Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers was a full participant in practice today. First time since July 31.

Flowers spent much of August with his left foot in a walking boot with what the Chiefs have been calling a bruised heel. Practicing on Thursday is a good sign for Flowers' availability on Sunday against Buffalo.
Flowers would be a welcome return for the Chiefs, who were torched by Matt Ryan and the Atlanta receiving corps last Sunday in a 40-24 loss. The fifth-year defensive back had 59 tackles and four interceptions in 2011, and with the departure of Brandon Carr to Dallas, his veteran presence is needed in the Kansas City secondary.
