NFL Schedule 2012: Week 3's Unexpected Winless Battle - Saints Vs. Chiefs

Not many expected the Week 3 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints to be that of two winless teams, but that's the position they find themselves in as Sunday approaches.

The Chiefs travel to the Superdome on Sunday for a noon game televised by CBS. Both teams are a disappointing 0-2 after having higher expectations in the preseason. After two bad losses, to the Atlanta Falcons at home in Week 1 and on the road in Week 2 to the Buffalo Bills, the road doesn't get easier for Kansas City against a New Orleans team desperate to get in the 'W' column themselves. A loss could put either team in a huge three-game hole in their divisions.

Incidentally, the two teams' respective division winners clash later that day when the NFC South-leading Falcons travel to take on the AFC West-leading San Diego Chargers in a matchup of 2-0 teams. In other AFC West action, the Denver Broncos have another tough test when they face the Houston Texans, and the Oakland Raiders are in Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.

Here's the rest of the Week 3 slate. All times are CT.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Sunday, Sept. 23

Monday, Sept. 24
