Chiefs Vs. Saints Score Update: Kansas City Down 7-3 After 1st Quarter

The Kansas City Chiefs trail the New Orleans Saints, 7-3, at the end of the first quarter of Sunday's game. Drew Brees and Lance Moore hooked up for a nine-yard touchdown to cap a six-play, 83-yard drive.

Kansas City converted on a 25-yard field goal by Ryan Succop to chip into the Saints' lead. Outside of those scores, there hasn't been much offensively. The Saints did finish the quarter with a 150 yards of total offense, compared to the Chiefs' 82 yards.

Jamaal Charles is leading the Chiefs' rushing attack with 26 yards on five carries. Matt Cassel completed five of his six pass attempts in the first quarter, but not much through the air for the Chiefs with just 47 passing yards.

Drew Brees finished the quarter 7-of-10 for 98 yards and a touchdown.
