Chiefs Vs. Saints 2012: Kansas City Fans Excited About Jamaal Charles

The Kansas City Chiefs rallied for a 27-24 overtime win against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, thanks in big part to a tremendous performance by Jamaal Charles. The Chiefs running back posted 233 yards rushing and a touchdown on 33 carries and sparked his team's comeback in the third quarter with a 91-yard touchdown run.

The injury to Dexter McCluster is on the minds of all Chiefs fans, Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride takes the time to acknowledge just how great Charles was on Sunday against the Saints.

It's not just the big 40 and 91-yard runs. It's so much more than that. The big runs get him a lot of attention but on every play he adds a couple yards by being shifty, by being stronger than the opponent realizes and by finding whatever hole there is and diving forward. A 2-yard run by one player is a 5-yard run by Charles. He's so good on each play, something KC Chiefs fans appreciate.

He's a true weapon and the Chiefs goal every single game should be to get in a position where they can run Charles at will. Every game, that should be the goal. The guy is so good and I'm so glad he's a Chief.

Charles is in his 5th season and is coming of an ACL tear that ended year in 2011 just two games into the season. In three games in 2012, Charles has 323 yards rushing on 55 attempts.
