Chiefs place Jacques Reeves on Injured Reserve

Defensive back Jacques Reeves has been put on Injured Reserve by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that cornerback Jacques Reeves has been placed on Injured Reserve following a bout with a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for KC's last game against the New Orleans Saints.

The former seventh-round pick had returned to football this season after spending a few years away from the game, picking up four tackles for the Chiefs in the two games he played.

Reeves had been used this year by the Chiefs mostly to spell other injured players like Brandon Flowers and Jalil Brown, who both spent time on the bench due to injuries of their own this season. Both players are back on the field for the Chiefs now, but won't have the luxury of having Reeves right behind them any more in 2012.

The Chiefs will face off against the AFC West rival San Diego Chargers on Sunday as they look for their second win of 2012.
