Glenn Dorsey injury update: Chiefs DL will be game-time call

Romeo Crennel will give the injured Glenn Dorsey every opportunity to get ready for Sunday, including waiting until just before game-time.

Glenn Dorsey's status for the Kansas City Chiefs' clash with the San Diego Chargers is still up in the air and will stay that way until Sunday. Chiefs' head coach Romeo Crennel said on Thursday that the injured defensive lineman will be a game-time decision, via The KC Star:

"We’ll have to see what he can do and how he is impacted. With Dorsey, because he’s a veteran, we’ll give him every opportunity to be able to go until the game. We’ll treat him and then we can go up until Sunday to make a determination on him."

Dorsey is battling a calf injury, although it is unclear when he was hurt. He popped up on the injury report this week and did not practice on Thursday.

If Dorsey cannot play, Allen Bailey and Ropati Pitoitua will be called upon to help fill the spot up front. The Chargers are way down at 24th in total offense this season, so they aren't going up against a juggernaut. But with San Diego already at 2-1 to Kansas City's 1-2, the Chiefs really don't want to lose and be forced to play catch-up in the AFC West so early in the season.
