Jamaal Charles' 37-yard touchdown run was about the only highlight for the Chiefs in the first half, as the Chargers lead 27-6. Besides that TD run, Kansas City had three turnovers and two punts on their first six series.
On the Chiefs' first possession following the Charles TD run, Donald Butler intercepted Matt Cassel and returned it 21 yards to the house. Cassel has struggled mightily against the Chargers D through the first two quarters, throwing for 56 yards with three picks.
Opposing QB Phillip Rivers has had a very efficient half, completing 14 of 18 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown.
Charles has been the only bright spot on what looks like a flat Kansas City roster. He has seven rushes for 46 yards and a TD. Fantasy owners will be pleased with WR Dwayne Bowe, who has six receptions for 79 yards.
