With the Falcons just one-point favorites over the Chiefs in the season opener, the first game of the season at Arrowhead Stadium is certainly expected to be a close one.
The Chiefs will have the task of trying to slow down one of the league's most potent offense and they may have to do so without the help of some key contributors. Linebacker Derrick Johnson missed practice on Monday and cornerback Brandon Flowers is still on the mend from a injury to his left heel that held him out of the entire preseason.
If unable to play, the Chiefs' defense will likely have to start Jacques Reeves as it tries to stop an offense that features talented receivers like Roddy White and Julio Jones. However, it's not all doom and gloom for the Chiefs, as they have some playmakers of their own to stop.
Sunday will feature the return of Chiefs' offensive playmakers Jamaal Charles and Tony Moeaki, while the defense will see the return of Eric Berry. All three players missed the majority of the 2011 season due to injury, but are back healthy and ready to pick up where they left off.
Kickoff is slated for noon CT and will be televised on FOX.
