The Atlanta Falcons have the look of a passing offense if the preseason is any indication, but the potential absence of backup running back Jason Snelling could still prove beneficial for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Snelling (hamstring) is listed as questionable on the Falcons' injury report, as the Chiefs prepare to host the NFC South team in Sunday's Week 1 opener at noon at Arrowhead.
Cornerback Christopher Owens was also listed on the Falcons' injury report for having had limited participation Wednesday.
Snelling, the veteran backup out of Virginia, has proved to be a nice supplemental piece to starter Michael Turner during his six-year NFL career, racking up 1,193 yards on 301 carries. He's been featured prominently as a pass-catching back because Turner's hands are terrible, but some of that role has been shifted to second-year back Jacquizz Rodgers.
