Matt Ryan added a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter for Atlanta, who now lead 37-17 over the Chiefs. Ryan capped a nine play 70-yard drive with a five yard touchdown run on the Falcons first touchdown of the quarter. Later in the third, Ryan connected with tight end Tony Gonzalez for a seven yard touchdown. That score is icing on the cake for the former Chief, as the veteran cracked the top 10 of all time receiving yards.
Atlanta kicker Matt Bryant tacked on a 31 yard field goal, his third of the day, early in the fourth quarter to extend the Falcons lead.
Kansas City rusher Jamaal Charles, who is making his first start since tearing his ACL, has 75 yards on 13 carries.
