The Kansas City Royals aren't having a very good year But Joakim Soria is. The Royals closer notched his 43rd save on Thursday, which tops his 2008 total for a career-high. He also extended a pair of franchise records by snagging his 36th consecutive save and continued his scoreless innings streak with 23 2/3. It's been since July 28 that Soria allowed a run. That's amazing. He now has a 1.53 ERA on the season. It's nice to know that the Royals have a piece in place like Soria moving forward.
