Royals Looking to Bounce Back This Afternoon Against Baltimore

Bruce Chen takes the ball this afternoon for the Royals against the Orioles, as Kansas City looks to take the series finale. Last time out, Chen tossed 5 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits to the Twins.

Baltimore will counter with right-hander Chris Tillman who holds a 1-2 record along with a 5.25 ERA. On paper it looks like the Royals certainly will have chances to score some runs.

Today's starting lineup features Wilson Betemit playing first base, as Kila Ka`aihue gets the day off. Brayan Pena will be catching Chen and the infield will consist of Betemit, Getz, Escobar, and Aviles at third. The outfield from left to right will be the usual Gordon, Cabrera, and Jeff Francoeur. Francoeur will look to continue a recent power surge, as he has homered in two straight games.
