After the Pirates made the pick we all selected, taking UCLA pitcher Gerrit Cole first overall, there was a surprise at number two as the Mariners, who many penciled in to take Anthony Rendon of Rice, Seattle surprisingly selected University of Virginia pitcher Danny Hutlzen second overall.
All of that seemingly shuffled the deck a bit, and in the end Kansas City selected the local boy, high schooler Bubba Starling of Gardner, Kansas. The 6'4" 180 lb outfielder now becomes the talk of the town. Look for more info to come.
