Kansas City Royals Vs. Cleveland Indians: Pitching Probables, Game Time And More

Jonathan Sanchez (1-0, 3.60 ERA) gets the start tonight for the Kansas City Royals (3-4) against the Cleveland Indians (2-4), as the Royals look to notch their first home victory of the young 2012 season.

KC's home opener didn't go according to plan at all on Friday night, as Luke Hochevar was hit hard en route to an 8-3 loss. Hochevar was forced out of the game after being hit in the ankle with a comebacker. X-rays on Hochevar's ankle were luckily negative.

Sanchez, acquired by the Royals from the San Francisco Giants over the offseason, will be making his home debut for the Royals. In his Royals debut last week against the Angels, Sanchez needed 99 pitches to get through five innings, but only gave up two runs on four hits while walking three and striking out four en route to the victory.

Kansas City's young but talented offense will face off against Jeanmar Gomez (0-0, 0.00 ERA). It will be Gomez' first start of the season, as his first turn in the rotation was skipped. Gomez has made a relief appearance this year though, striking out three in two innings of work against the Chicago White Sox.

First pitch between the Royals and White Sox is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. CT. Televised coverage can be found on Fox Sports Kansas City, as well as MLB.tv.
