The Kansas City Royals think that Danny Duffy may have turned the corner, but he still has a long way to go to compare to the guy he's facing, Justin Verlander.
When the Detroit Tigers come to town on Monday, it will give the Royals their first chance of 2012 to face the reigning AL MVP and Cy Young winner. In three starts last year against Kansas City, Verlander went 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 0.79 WHIP. He is 13-2 against the Royals in his career.
But Duffy has something that Verlander doesn't this season -- a win. His came on April 10, when he shut out Oakland over six innings and allowed just one hit.
