Johnny Damon Could Report To Cleveland Indians In 2 Weeks

The AL Central might become a little more competitive than what some might have believed after the first week of the season. After sweeping the Royals at Kauffman Stadium over the weekend in KC's home opener, the Cleveland Indians have some positive momentum and their young ballclub is going to receive some solid mentoring as well as a positive veteran force in the line-up with the addition of Johnny Damon soon enough. Buster Olney is reporting that a "solid guess" for his timeline to report is about two weeks.

The Indians are currently 4-4 and trail the Tigers by two games in the division early in the year. The White Sox are also in it at 5-4 right now. The Royals and Twins trail and form the basement of the division. With the Indians overall struggles at the plate, even an aging Damon represents a decent addition in the outfield to provide a catalyst in the line-up.
