Royals Vs. Blue Jays Final Score: Kansas City Losing Streak Extended To 9 Games, Lose To Toronto 9-5

The losing continues for the Kansas City Royals as they have now lost their ninth straight game in a row, including their first eight at home in a 9-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays 9-5. The Royals actually got off to an early 1-0 lead when Alex Gordon homered off of Drew Hutchison.

The offense then picked up for the Blue Jays when Luis Mendoza allowed four runs in the top of the fourth inning from a barrage of singles which put the Blue Jays up 4-1. The Royals bounced back in the bottom of the fifth with four runs of their own with a Mitch Maier triple which scored Alcides Escobar, a RBI single by Yuniesky Betancourt and then a two-run home run by Eric Hosmer to put the Royals back on top.

That would be the last lead for the Royals when Everett Teaford and Kelvin Herrera combined to give up five runs in the sixth and seventh innings which was the nail in the coffin for the Royals.
