The Los Angeles Angels will not start Mark Trumbo on Saturday versus the Kansas City Royals at either first base or third base. Trumbo started at third baseman on Friday night versus the Angels, with newly acquired Albert Pujols holding court at Trumbo's old position at first.
The experiment being cast by manager Mike Scioscia with Trumbo to play third was a shaky one on Friday. Two errors in the first game was the only real blemish on a 5-0 win over the Royals. Alberto Callaspo, the former Royals third baseman, will look to pick it on the hot corner for Trumbo.
The Royals and the Angels will finish their three-game series on Sunday afternoon at 2:35 p.m. Central time.
