MLB Power Rankings: Royals Make Buster Olney's Top 10

As ESPN's Buster Olney just revealed his lastest MLB Power Rankings on Twitter, fans of the Kansas City Royals were likely surprised to see their team listed in the top ten. Yet the statement they made this weekend against the Angels brought that level of credibility to Ned Yost's team, and it will be interesting to see if they can continue to come together on the field in their next series against Oakland.

The Royals won two of three from the visiting Angels this weekend and kept Albert Pujols from making any headlines. The starting pitching came up big, with especially nice performances from Bruce Chen in the season-opening loss and Luke Hochevar on Saturday. Eric Hosmer continues to turn into the elite first baseman everyone is projecting him to be.

Olney's full top-ten reads:
1. Tampa Bay Rays
2. Texas Rangers
3. Detroit Tigers
4. Los Angeles Angels
5. New York Yankees
6. Arizona Diamondbacks
7. St. Louis Cardinals
8. Toronto Blue Jays
9. Philadelphia Phillies
10. Kansas City Royals
