The Kansas City Royals will get the unenviable task of trying to slow down Josh Hamilton on Monday when they head south to take on the Texas Rangers.

Hamilton has hit nine home runs in the Rangers last seven games and is now batting .402 with 18 home runs and 44 RBI.

Against Monday's starter, Bruce Chen, Hamilton has just one prior plate appearance and he failed to reach base.

The Royals bats will take aim at Scott Feldman, who is making just his second start of the season. Alex Gordon has the most career success against Feldman, notching four hits in six previous at-bats.
