The major league timetable continues to move forward for two of the Kansas City Royals top prospects, as the club promoted outfielder Will Myers and right-handed pitcher Jake Odirizzi from Double AA Northwest Arkansas to Triple AAA Omaha on Wednesday.
Odirizzi, one of the key pieces in the Zach Greinke deal, is a 22-year old who went 4-2 with a 3.32 ERA in Double AA and is coming off a four-game stretch where he went 3-1 with a 1.98 ERA.
He was placed on the 40-man roster in November to keep him from being a part of the Rule 5 draft, so there's a good chance he's called up to the major leagues by the end of the season.
Myers, whom Kansas City drafted in the 3rd round in 2009 out of high school, is a 21-year old 6'3 205 outfielder whose .343 with 13 HR's and 37 RBI's in the Texas League.
