The Kansas City Royals welcome the Baltimore Orioles to town for a brief two-game series on Wednesday. Amazingly, Baltimore still remains tied for the best record in the American League, so the Orioles are not to be taken lightly by Kansas City.
Both Buck Showalter and Ned Yost have announced their starting lineups for Wednesday night's contest, and they are as follows:
Baltimore Orioles
Xavier Avery, LF
JJ Hardy, SS
Nick Markakis, RF
Adam Jones, CF
Matt Wieters, C
Nick Johnson, DH
Wilson Betemit, 3B
Chris Davis, 1B
Robert Andino, 2B
Tommy Hunter, SP
Kansas City Royals
Jarrod Dyson, CF
Eric Hosmer, 1B
Billy Butler, DH
Alex Gordon, LF
Jeff Francoeur, RF
Mike Moustakas, 3B
Alcides Escobar, SS
Chris Getz, 2B
Humberto Quintero, C
Felipe Paulino, SP
We'll see if Kansas City can extend their winning streak to five games tonight. At least the Royals, who just swept the Rangers in a two-game series, get to face off against a former Rangers pitcher in Tommy Hunter on Wednesday night.
