The Kansas City Royals rebounded from Friday night's loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks to win the second game 7-3. Chen started the game by pitching six scoreless innings before allowing a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning.
The Royals offense was strong as they scored at least one run from the second inning through the sixth inning to build a 7-0 lead before the Diamondbacks were able to get their first run on the board.
Third baseman Mike Moustakas led the way for the Royals by going 2-for-4 with three runs, an RBI and a solo home run in the fourth inning. Shortstop Alcides Escobar also had a big game by going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs in the win.
