Royals Vs. Yankees: Felipe Paulino Dominates Potent New York Lineup As KC Wins 6-0

Felipe Paulino threw 6 2/3 scoreless innings as the Royals started off the road trip on a high note with Monday's 6-0 win.

Kansas City jumped on New York in the opening frame when Mike Moustakas hit a two-run homer to give the Royals a 2-0 lead. Moustakas went 1-for-4. Eric Hosmer has struggled mightily this season, but he extended the Royals' lead to 3-0 with an RBI-double in the third inning.

Jeff Francoeur hit a two-run blast in the seventh as KC put the game out of reach. Tim Collins pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Aaron Crow pitched a perfect ninth to close out the game.

Coming off a 1-4 homestand, getting off to a good start on this road trip was important for the Royals, who are now 3-2 against the Yankees this season.
