Royals Vs. Yankees: Game 3 Preview, TV Info And More

The Royals, looking for a left-handed arm, called up top prospect Will Smith from AAA Omaha after an injury to Chris Getz, and starting the first-timer against Andy Petite at Yankees Stadium Wednesday night. The game is Smith's first start in the majors, and the 482nd for Petite, who has come out of retirement twice. According to MLB.com, Smith has a ton of potential, despite the daunting first start:

The left-hander entered the season ranked as the Royals' No. 15 prospect by MLB.com. He pitched well last season, going 13-9 with a 3.85 ERA in 27 starts for Double-A Northwest Arkansas. In nine starts with Omaha this season, Smith went 1-3 with a 4.01 ERA.
