Royals Vs. Yankees: New York Smacks Kansas City, 8-3

The New York Yankees took the final game of their series with the Kansas City Royals by a final score of, 8-3.

Alex Rodriguez led the offense for New York with three RBI's in the ball game while Curtis Granderson, Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano and Andruw Jones each contributed one to the Yankee's cause while pitcher Andy Petite notched his second win of the season, bringing his record to 2-1 on the year.

For the Royals, Eric Hosmer led the way way with three hits in the game while Alcides Escobar and Mitch Maier contributed two, but Kansas City just wasn't able to generate much offense. Will Smith got the loss for Kansas City while giving up five earned runs and bringing his ERA up to 13.50.
