AL Central Standings: Royals Stand 8.5 Games Back Of Indians

The Kansas City Royals can't seem to get back into a groove without also stumbling for a few games. Those are the frustrations that accompany growing pains with a young roster that lacks a stable starting rotation, but at the very least, they're only 8.5 back when all is said and done. There's a long season ahead, so the Royals can take heart knowing the leaders of the AL Central are as young and developmental as they are.

The Cleveland Indians currently lead the division at 26-19. Check out the division standings below, where perhaps only the Minnesota Twins will soon be waving the white flag of surrender.

AL Central Standings

W L PCT GB STRK
Cleveland 26 19 .577 0 Lost 1
Chicago 24 22 .521 2.5 Won 3
Detroit 21 24 .466 5 Won 1
Kansas City 17 27 .386 8.5 Lost 3
Minnesota 15 30 .333 11 Lost 3
