Royals Vs. Orioles Final Score: Kansas City Takes Series With 4-2 Win On Sunday

The Kansas City Royals grabbed a series win on the road in Baltimore with a 4-2 win on Sunday over the Orioles.

Jeff Francouer broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning with his fifth home run of the season. Humberto Quintero added an insurance run for the Royals with a double later in the sixth inning.

Francouer, Quintero and Alcides Escobar finished with two hits each for the Royals. Billy Butler hit his 11th home run of the season in the first. J.J. Hardy had two hits for the Orioles.

Luke Hochevar got the start and exited after throwing 104 pitches in 4 2/3 innings while allowing seven hits and two runs (one earned). Tim Collins picks up the victory with an 1 1/3 innings of hitless relief. Jonathan worked an uneventful ninth to pick up his 10th save of the season. Brian Matusz takes the loss after allowing seven hits and four runs (three earned) in six innings of work.
