Royals Vs. Indians: Will Smith Picks Up First Major League Win In 8-2 Victory

Will Smith's second Major League start went much better than his first.

Smith allowed two earned runs on four hits over six innings to pick up his first big league win. One could say he got jiggy with it on Tuesday night (sorry, sorry). Smith did have plenty of help from the KC offense.

Mike Moustakas mashed a two-run homer in the game's opening frame, but the Indians answered with two in the bottom of the innings. The Royals scored five in the second and Smith settled down, allowing just two hits over his final five innings.

Moustakas went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, while Johnny Giavotella went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

The Royals have won three of four and will play the rubber match in Cleveland during the day on Wednesday.
