The Kansas City Royals have sent right-handed pitcher Sean O'Sullivan to the Toronto Blue Jays in a trade for cash considerations, according to multiple reports.

The Royals acquired O'Sullivan from the Angels in the summer of 2010 in the trade that sent Alberto Callaspo to Los Angeles. O'Sullivan went on to appear in 14 games for the Royals that season, including 13 starts, posting an ERA and WHIP of 6.11 and 1.557. O'Sullivan appeared in 12 games for Kansas City in 2011, maintaining an ERA and WHIP of 7.25 and 1.783.

Kansas City just wrapped up a series victory over the Houston Astros, in which they held Houston to one run in two games led by the starting pitching of Luke Hochevar and Bruce Chen.
